This course will introduce students to the basic principles used in the study of Petroleum Geology and Petroleum generation. This will include a focus on the processes that influence the formation of Petroleum and their Importance in Hydrocarbon accumulation, as well as focusing on the Types of organic matter deposition and maturation. Special emphasis will also be placed on the reserve estimation mapping that is used to make hydrocarbon characteristics their interpretation and importance of major sedimentary basins of world.
